Global quality, manufactured locally

At VEEM, we are immensely proud of our long-standing commitment to the defence sector delivering over $250 million in defence contracts since 1987.

Since our inception in 1968, VEEM has grown from a small engineering service to a leader in advanced marine technology, specializing in propulsion and ride control systems. Operating from a state-of-the-art 14,700 sqm facility in Perth, Western Australia, we house Australia’s largest non-ferrous foundry and employ over 200 dedicated staff. Our team’s expertise and commitment to quality are supported by multiple ISO certifications and manufacturer approvals, ensuring the highest standards in all our processes.

Our extensive defence portfolio includes significant projects such as Oberon Class Submarines, Pacific Patrol Boats, ANZAC Frigates, ECCPBs, and Collins Class Submarines. Collaborating with leading defence contractors like ASC, Austal, Thales, BAE Systems, Kongsberg, Babcock, and Supacat, VEEM supports Australia’s National Defence Strategy. Through relentless innovation, precision engineering, and a commitment to excellence, we enhance sovereign defence capabilities and ensure our products meet the rigorous demands of critical defence applications.

Our Local Capabilities, Your Global Edge

Defence-accredited foundry

Our foundry specialises in a wide range of alloys, including stainless steels, nickel alloys, aluminium alloys, and copper alloys. This expertise allows us to produce components with specific properties tailored to various defence applications, from corrosion-resistant materials for marine environments to high-strength alloys for aerospace components. With our large casting capacity over 250 alloys, our team pours over 1500 tonnes of metal every year.

Advanced Manufacturing

VEEM Ltd operates a 14,700 sqm facility in Perth, Western Australia, featuring the largest non-ferrous foundry in Australia. Our advanced CNC machining capabilities, including an 8-axis CNC machine, allow us to produce complex, high-precision components essential for defence and other industries. With the capacity to handle over 250 different alloys, we ensure top-quality production.

Innovative Marine Products

We are globally recognised for our high-performance marine propulsion systems. VEEM is the world’s only commercial volume manufacturer of fully CNC machined monobloc propellers. These propellers offer unmatched efficiency, reduced fuel consumption, and minimal vibration and noise, setting new standards in marine engineering.

We also lead the world in market in marine stabilisation technology, setting new standards for performance and reliability. VEEM’s Gyrostabilizer range significantly reduce vessel roll, enhancing safety, operational capability and efficiency.
